A Cold Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect, prompting several cancelations as we head into Wednesday.
The Weather Service expects wind chills tonight into tomorrow to dip as low as -15 to -25. Daytime wind chills are expected to remain below zero.
The St. Joseph School District has already announced it is suspending operations on Wednesday due to inclement weather. Some after school activities might occur. Contact the sponsor or coach. The district reports staff should refer to the inclement weather policy, Scenario B.
The St. Joseph Catholic Academy and the St. Joseph Christian School have canceled classes for Wednesday.
The Savannah R3 School District has canceled classes for Wednesday due to hazardous road conditions and frigid temperatures. The district is using a built-in snow day, not an AMI day.
There will be no school for Riverside USD 114 on Wednesday. The County Spelling Bee scheduled for Troy Wednesday has been moved to Thursday.
Missouri Western State University has announced its St. Joseph campus will be closed Wednesday.
