DEKALB COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 6:30a.m. Wednesday in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Chevy Colorado driven by an 18-year-old King City man was northbound on U.S. 169 five miles south of King City. The pickup crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2003 Chevy Silverado driven by a 20-year-old King City man, head-on.
Grand River ambulance transported both drivers to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph where the teen was pronounced dead and was transported to Roberson-Polley Funeral Home in Albany.
The MSHP had incomplete seat belt usage information. The Patrol longer releases names of accident vicitms.
