BUCHANAN COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a reported road-rage shooting that occurred Wednesday, according to a media release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.

Just after 8a.m., the St. Joseph Police Department received a 911 call reporting a road-rage incident on northbound Interstate 29 near the 49 mile marker in Buchanan County. The suspect discharged a firearm striking the victim’s vehicle.

The suspect is in custody and has been identified as a 27-year-old Savannah, Missouri man. The victim is a 47-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri.  No injuries were reported.
